يسعد مركز الجزويت الثقافي بالقاهرة ومدرسة ناس ان تتعاون مع الفنان والمخرج الكندي مايكل ديفين.
يقيم ديفين ورشة وانتاج عرض مسرحي بالتعاون مع فنانين مصريين.
يبدأ التعاون بورشة مفتوحة للمشاركين ولمدة 7 أيام على منهجية Box WhatBox تبدأ 26 أبريل ، ثم تستكمل خلال 10 ايام لخلق مسرحي والذي سوف يتم عرضه على خشبة مسرح ناصبيان بالجزويت يومي 17 ، 18 مايو 2023.
عن الورشة
ابتكر ديفين منهجية المعتمدة Box WhatBox والتي من خلالها يتعلم الممثلين كيفية استخدام أجسادهم وعقولهم لخلق عروض مسرحية أصيلة وإضفاء مزيد من العمق على الشخصيات التي يقومون بتجسيدها. فمن خلال الألعاب والتمارين سيحدد الممثلون عادات الجسد والعقل التي تمنعهم من الإبداع.و يكتسبون المهارات التعبيرية التي يحتاجها المؤدون للتواصل مع الجماهير بطريقة قوية وواضحة.
الورشة فرصة للفنانين ( الممثلين والمخرجين )المبتدئين والمحترفين على حد سواء لصقل مهاراتهم ومعارفهم الخاصة بإنتاج عروضهم الخاصة سواء عروض ارتجالية أو معالجة نصوص مسرحية. ومهمة لتعلم خلق الشخصيات والمسرح الحي بمنهجية حديثة ومبتكرة.
عن المدرب
مايكل ديفين هو مخرج وممثل وأكاديمي مسرحي كندي. أخرج ديفين 40 عرض مسرحي احترافي في المسرح القومي والمستقل الكندي، وعدة دول من ضمنها صربيا ، كوسوفو، لبنان ، كرواتيا ، المجر ودول عديدة أخرى. تم استضافتة كفنان مميز في 8 مهرجانات دولية.
مايكل هو مبتكر Box What Box ، وهو نظام معترف به دوليًا لإنشاء الأداء وتدريب الممثلين ، والذي سافر إلى 20 دولة في خمس قارات. وهو أيضًا المؤسس والمدير التنفيذي لمركز التدريب المسرحي البديل (CATT) ، وهو تدريب دولي مكثف للممثلين متعددي الثقافات والذي يقام سنويًا في أوروبا. كذلك تدعم CATT مشاريع المسرح البديل بين الثقافات من خلال تعاونات دولية.
ككاتب مسرحي انتج ديفين مسرحيات عدة مبنية على نصوص باستخدام طريقة BoxWhatBox في كندا، فنلندا وبعض من دول أوروبا الشرقية.
يشغل مايكل حاليًا منصب أستاذ المسرح في جامعة أكاديا ، كندا ، ويمتلك خبرة في تدريس تاريخ المسرح ، النظرية والنقد المسرحيين ، و الدراماتورجيا ، والكتابة المسرحية ، والإخراج ، والأداء (التمثيل).
تلقى ديفين تدريبا كممثل في لندن (المملكة المتحدة) في LAMDA ومدينة نيويورك في HB Studio ، وهو حاصل على درجة الدكتوراه من جامعة تورنتو.

Jesuit Cairo and NAS are delighted to cooperate with Canadian artist and director Michael Devine. Devine will hold a workshop and a theater production in cooperation with Egyptian Artists.
The cooperation starts with a 7 days workshop on the BOXWHTBOX methodology and starts on the 26th of April, it will be continued for further 10 days to create a theater show that will be performed on Nassbian stage on the 17 & 18 of May 20123,
About the workshop:
Devine has created the BoxWhatBox methodology, throughout the training actors will learn how to use their bodies and minds to create original theater and to bring added depth to their characters. Using games, actors will identify the body and mind habits that hold them back from creativity. With exercises, actors will practice the expressive skills performers require to communicate to audiences in a way that is powerful and clear. Working in études, actors will learn techniques of character creation through targeted improvisation.
The workshop is a chance for artists (actors and directors ) both beginners and professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge about how to create their own shows whether improvised or text based shows. Its a chance to learn character creation and living theater through a creative and contemporary methodolgy.
About Devine
Michael Devine has directed 40 professional productions in 8 languages, at national and independent theaters in Canada, Serbia, Croatia, Kosovo, Romania, and Hungary. He has appeared as a featured guest artist at 8 international theater festivals.
As a playwright, Michael has created both text-based plays and BoxWhatBox-generated productions which have been produced in Canada, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, Finland, Kosova and elsewhere.
A recognised international scholar in theatre, Michael has given keynote addresses and presented conference papers at universities and conferences across Eastern and Central Europe as a member of CEACS, the Central European Association for Canadian Studies. Currently a Full Professor of Theatre at Acadia University, Canada, Michael possesses teaching expertise in Theatre History, Dramatic Theory and Criticism, Dramaturgy, Playwriting, Directing, and Performance (Acting).
Classically trained as an actor in London (UK) at LAMDA and New York City at the HB Studio, Michael has a PhD from the University of Toronto.
